Ragnarok Valkyrie Uprising 3.5/5

I'm really excited about this game, Ragnarok Valkyrie Uprising. Some of you may remember this cute game from years ago, it had adorable 2.5D sprite graphics and painful, almost unbearable leveling speed. Well, they ported the game to the phone. This game is available on both iOS and Android, but they don't play on the same servers.

You start up the game, and you're already seeing Ragnarok's unique art style. The key thing about this game is that it's an MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) game. You're actually playing in real-time with other people.

Log into the game using facebook and you'll quickly navigate to the character page. Here you can create a character of 3 different classes: swordsman, magician, and acolyte. Swordsman is the close combat warrior type, magician is the long range class that does a good amount of damage, and lastly, the acolyte is a healing class.

Once you start up the game, it looks very confusing, there's buttons everywhere. However, once you start playing around with it, it's not too bad. Clicking on the top left ( where your character level is) brings up the menu. From here you can access everything you need to about your character such as stats, skills, and items. Clik on the map on the top right of the screen opens up the map. To level up your character, you must either complete quests or kill monsters. Once you have the map open, you should see an exclamation mark. Tap that mark to move your character there. This is how you obtain quests. The rest of it is simple, simply follow the instruction each quest gives you and soon you'll be on your way to slashing through huge monsters, not some cute pink drops.

This game requires more time dedication than more casual games. However, it has some of the cutest graphics which may appeal to a younger crowd with more time on their hands.
